Republican tour of the Olympiad was held on March 30, 2013. Winners of the tour further participated in VII International Olympiad, held on April 25-27.
EU Delegation to Georgia and “Sakpatenti” (National Intellectual Property Center) supported the International Young Inventors Project Olympiad together with “Chaghlar” and the Ministry. Deputy Minsiter Aluda Goglichidze, Head of EU Delegation to Georgia Boris Yaroshevich, Ambassador of Turkey to Georgia Levent Murat Burhan, Head of Boards of Chaghlar Educational Institutions and Black Sea International University Adem Onal awarded the winners with prizes.
For the first time, Young Inventors International Olympiad was organized in 2005 by “Chaglar” Educational Institutions with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. VII-XII graders gifted with creative talents participated in the Olympiad with the projects in the fields of mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, informatics and engineering. In 2007 the Olympiad became international in scope. Since then, number of participants is increasing annually.
The goal of the Olympiad is to deepen the interest of young people in science. The Olympiad plays an important role in intercultural and cross-civilization dialogue. Participants live in Georgian families and get familiar with Georgian language and culture. They share knowledge and experience.
