opportunity to practice tennis in a tennis club during a year and free of charge. The event was attended by foreign experts of Tennis Federation, President of Georgian Tennis Federation, and representative of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The first stage of competitions among public schools was held in April 15-30. 200 first-graders selected from 25 public schools participated in the competitions. They were held in those schools where standard tennis courts were arranged from the end of 2012. Sports teachers of the public schools were actively involved in the event.
The aim of the School Tennis Development Program initiated by Georgian Tennis Federation is to single out talented pupils, encourage healthy life style and popularization of tennis.
