Modern-standard Vocational College “New Wave” celebrates its 50^th anniversary. A number of events were held dedicated to the anniversary. Competitions in different vocations, master classes and conferences were organized within the framework of the event.

The same day, innovative center was opened. The center was equipped with the help of the Ministry of Education and Science and co-financing of Company “Knauf”. 

Deputy Minister of Education and Science participated in the Anniversary event. Representative from Government of Adjara, Supreme Council, International donor organizations, Honorary Consuls of Estonia, Ukraine and France, representatives of business sector, representatives from colleges of Estonia, Ukraine and Armenia, administration of Georgian colleges and Universities were among the guests. 

Kobuleti Vocational Colleges is now rehabilitated and is equipped with modern technologies. A student hostel and a restaurant are operating. Vocations taught in the College are selected according to Adjara Region Development Priority Plan. These vocations are: operator of heavy construction machinery (motor-driven grader, cargo and hydraulic excavators), crane operator, electrician, frosting machinery technician, hotel and restaurant manager, cook, confectioner, tour-operator (agro tour operator, eco tour operator etc.), barman etc.
