The abovementioned Conference was dedicated to 70 years Anniversary of Dimitri Uznadze Psychology Institute. The Conference was organized by Dimitri Uznadze Georgian Psychologists’ Association. The Project is supported by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The aim of the Conference was to encourage development of Georgian school of psychology.
School of scientific psychology is important for every country. The first textbook on psychology was published in the XIX century in Georgia. World-known theory of mood psychology was elaborated in the XX century.
Psychology Institute founded by Dimitri Uznadze has been the base for the development of theory of mood psychology since 1943. Because of stagnation lasting for two years, the only center for mood theory development was not operating.
The importance of psychology in education system, family life and society, human relations and other vital spheres was emphasized on the Conference. Coming out from the abovementioned, a strong school of psychology represents state priority.
