First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze and Deputy Minister of Energy Ilia Eloshvili attended presentation-exhibition of best business energy projects presented by the Science Summer School. Tamar Sanikidze and Ilia Eloshvili awarded the author-team of the best project and presentation.
International Science Summer School in Georgia” is one of the four projects implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia within the Project “Intensified teaching of English Language “. Project participants are 70 pupils of 9th, 10th and 11th grades selected based on the results of third tour of National Olympiads (IT, maths, physics, chemistry and biology).
International Science Summer School is held in Tskneti – on the basis of Buckswood International School Tbilisi and covers academic as well as non-academic programs. The Project started on June 16 and lasts till July 6 . 10 best pupils out of 70 will be selected. Within the Project “Visit of winning pupils to CERN Central Laboratory”, the best pupils shall travel to Switzerland, to CERN central lab for 5 days.
Pupils have been working on the projects in teams during three weeks. These projects represent a final product of the whole academic program. They were evaluated by competent judges: representatives from the Ministry of Energy, Tbilisi City Hall, USAID, JSC Telasi, the field specialists and the teachers.
