In order to develop vocational education, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Liberty Bank and 12 education institutions carrying out vocational programs.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Arveladze, Director General of Liberty Bank, Heads of Vocational Colleges “Akhali Talga”, “Mermisi”, “Iberia”, “Opizari”, “Pazisi”, “Prestizhi”, “Modusi”, “Horizonti”, “Black Sea”, Educational Management Information System, Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi and State Teaching University of Samtskhe-Javakheti.
Cooperation envisages encouragement of vocational training, future employment possibilities and preparation of qualified staff.
As it is set forth in the Memorandum, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia shall provide information to the companies and encourage their involvement in planned activities, in the process of reviewing/elaboration of vocational standards and in the activities planned in the framework of professional orientation.
Liberty Bank shall provide students with internship possibilities. This will increase student motivation and development of practical skills.
