Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri and Ambassador of the United States to Georgia Richard Norland opened a new school building in village Kvemo Nikozi.

The school building in Kvemo Nikozi was destroyed during the hostilities in 2008. With the effort of the Ministry of Education and Science, teaching/learning process has been continuing in Zemo Nikozi public school building.

The Embassy of the United States to Georgia expressed its interest in existing problems. A project for construction of a new school was elaborated and financed by U.S Army Corps of Engineers. Construction works started in 2012 and ended in 2013. The US Embassy also equipped the school together with the Ministry of Education.

Lia Gigauri expressed gratitude to the Embassy and the Department of Defence. Deputy Minister stated that the Ministry shall provide the school with the Internet. Besides, the pupils shall have textbooks and the library will be provided with books and materials. Every novelty and reform carried out by the Ministry for quality provision shall have a reflection on the school life.
