Representatives of higher education institutions and non-governmental organizations, local and international experts were invited to the conference.
Georgia is a co-chair country of Bologna Follow-up Group (BFUG) in 2013 (July-December). The first part of the conference was dedicated to National Qualifications Framework development. TEMPUS higher education reforms expert (HERE – TEMPUS) Lali Bakradze talked about the qualifications framework of European and Georgian higher education, ongoing situation and the challenges. Lali Bakradze arrived from Germany in order to attend the conference. Ana Maisuradze, head of Recognition Division of the Center made a presentation “National Qualifications Framework for education recognition”.
The issues of internal and external mechanisms of quality assurance were discussed during the second part of the conference. Elene Jibladze, Head of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement spoke about quality assurance standards and major principles of European higher education area. Head of Accreditation Division Giorgi Tskhvediani communicated a report on quality assurance in international context.”
