A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between LLC “Blood
Bank” at Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital and the Ministry of Education and
Science of Georgia. Within the framework of the abovementioned Minister of
Education Tamar Sanikidze and the Ministry staff donated blood for the
children (age: 0-8)suffering from leukemia and other severe pathologies.
M. Iashvili Central Hospital is the only hospital in Georgia for the
treatment of children with leukemia and severe pathologies. These children
require components with new blood on a daily basis (aged: 0-8).
Patients’ parents and their relatives remain stressed
because of diminishing amount of blood supplies. They have to look for donors.
This is the reason why the Ministry signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the
Hospital.
The Ministry shall help children and participate in joint
projects. By means of close cooperation with Iahsvili Central Hospital, the
Ministry will be able to stay informed on the activities of “Blood Bank” and
shall provide necessary conditions in order to carry out appropriate
activities.
