The Center of energy
efficiency Sakartvelo is carrying out ENER2i project (www.ener2i.eu), financed within the framework of
EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. The
goal of the Programme is to promote cooperation between universities,
scientific research centers working on the issues of renewable energy and
energy efficiency and industry, in European neighborhood countries (Belarus,
Moldova, Georgia and Armenia) and in EU countries (Austria, Germany, Hungary),
through the search of partners, national or international measures of knowledge
improvement, promotion of cooperation by establishment of schemes of innovative
vouchers.
Within the framework of abovementioned project, for representatives of small and medium businesses (SME) working in Georgia whose activities are connected to innovations in the field of renewable energy and improvement of energy efficiency, grant competition of innovative vouchers (4000,00 euro) was announced.
The goal of competition is to initiate innovative projects in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, through the direct financial support on earlier stage of project development. Small and medium businesses, including start-ups and spin-off companies, will have an opportunity to order scientific-research service which is necessary for implementation of their projects. This, at the same time, will help to strengthen cooperation with scientific organizations.
