At the Akaki Tsereteli State University Rectors Council, extended meeting was held, with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science, Deputy Ministers, representatives of public and private higher education institutions Rectors.

Sitting on the agenda of several important issues, including: "National Qualifications Framework" project, which according to the Association Agreement with Europe, to come into compliance with the European Qualifications Framework. In addition, "higher education" of the law, and "Science, Technology and Development" of the law of the amendments to the package were considered, which aims to improve the quality of teaching and scientific research, and solve and resolve organizational issues. The Council also discussed the receiving higher education issues by accused/convicted and so forth.

Rectors Council meets several times a year and discusses the development of higher education on all the important issues, and reconciling of views that are taken by the joint decisions. With this mode, Council plans to improve the quality of higher education meetings and the topics to be covered.
