With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs is conducting a large-scale school-sport Olympics. Olympic competitions in 11 cities - Tbilisi, Batumi, Mtskheta, Gori, Rustavi, Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Zugdidi and Khobi school teams are involved. School teams will compete in four types of sports - basketball, table tennis, mini-football and athletics to compete.
Olympic tournament was opened on March 15 in Mtskheta, and the final games scheduled in Anaklia’s "Camp of Future", where along with the sports events, cultural and entertainment shows will be held. In the final, the winning team will take part in 2016 school world championships in Croatia, Estonia, Israel and Hungary to be held.
Olympics tournaments are held for children and youth of the National Sports Federation and according to the system requirements, national and international competitions in the sports federations of the fields, the rules and regulations of the Olympic competition.
Large-scale school sport in the Olympics is for the first time in Georgia and has the pilot nature of the project. All Schools are scheduled to be involved in all of next year's Olympics. Olympic sponsor is "IDS Borjomi Georgia".
