The public school in the village of Samghereti in the region of Tetritskaro was built in the 1940s. Only 12 classrooms were being used and the walls were cracked and deformed. The severely damaged building was beyond overhaul.

The new school has been built in a better location and is equipped with a modern heating system, furnished with modern school desks and whiteboards in its classrooms and laboratories. The school is adapted for children with special educational needs and is correspondingly fitted with specially adapted ramps, gyms and halls.   

Samghereti, being a historical village, has been settled with Adjarian eco-migrants for 25 years. Correspondingly, it is a Georgian school. Currently, there are 100 pupils enrolled in Samghereti public school. 12 pupils among them are from the administratively affiliated Shikhlo Azerbaijanian Primary School and since February they have been provided with school bus service.

There is no demographic increase in the village; correspondingly, the new school is intended to accept 150 pupils. Learning environment in the school which is in accordance with international standards, will enable pupils to get the same quality education as offered by European countries.
