The meeting focused on ISO certification prospects for the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and educational institutions.
For years, the Ministry has successfully been cooperating with the organizer of the meeting - the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) - in the process of the development of the strategic plan for vocational education. At this point, the cooperation focuses on the enhancement of the institutional quality of vocational institutions. In this process it is vitally important to implement international standards and experience in the educational institutions.
ISO 29990 (International Standardization Organization) is an international standard for quality management. Owning this certificate ensures the correspondence between the operation of the organization and the international standards.
The meeting was attended by Ketevan Natriashvili - First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Sharvashidze – Deputy Minister, and the representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement of the Ministry of Education and Science.
