Fourth Annual Conference- Exhibition of Civic Education Teachers
Conference-exhibition of Civic
Education Teachers’ Forum was opened today. The Minister of Education and
Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze, a director of Caucasus Mission of US Agency
for International Development (USAID) Steven Heykin and a director of Civic
Education program Marina Ushveridze welcomed the participants of the conference.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri, guest
teachers and other interested persons have also attended the event.
Participants of the forum, 400 teachers of all regions of Georgia learned the innovations in the field of civic education. They received information about opportunities of vocational development.
At the end of the conference, there was an award ceremony for the best teachers of civic education. During the ceremony, civic education teachers received honorary awards from the forum –a certificate of appreciation and prize for “The best civic education teacher of the year”.
The Conference-exhibition was held within the civic education program “Future Generation”. The program is implemented by PH International together with the partnership of Consultation and Training Center, Civic Education Teachers’ Forum and regional NGOs. The Teachers’ Vocational Development Center is also supporting the conference-exhibition. The financial support of the program is provided by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
