The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia continues the presentation of the educational infrastructure projects. This time, Tamar Sanikidze presented to the media the infrastructure projects that has been implemented in the vocational schools since 2013, and introduced the future plans.
First of all, it should be noted that vocational education is fully funded by the state of Georgia. In Modern standards colleges besides limitation everyone can be trained in any profession and get employed in the labor market. In order to achieve a high quality of teaching and the relevant European standards have changed attitudes, the legal framework has been revised and the programs were improved. In frame of the new strategy it was necessary to ensure appropriate learning environment, which means to rehabilitate the colleges and to equip them with the high technologies. It is important that the process of rehabilitation of buildings are being adapted to accomplish the implementation of inclusive education.
Professional education and vocational training institutions to improve the geographical availability of the professional education and to strengthen its network in order, established new branches of colleges.
In 2013-2015 were entirely reconstructed 9 vocational school (5 607 772 GEL); were partially rehabilitated 8 vocational educational institution (1 977 189 GEL); were Built - 1 school and 1 dormitory building (3 472 950 GEL);
In 2015, 14 million worth of infrastructure projects will be implemented across the state colleges (Including the two newly established institution) branches and vocational educational programs in higher education institutions. The project involves the rehabilitation works and construction of adapted buildings for people with disabilities. Workshops will also be held to equip laboratories and industrial innovative arrangement.
