A tripartite agreement was signed between Tamar Sanikidze (Minister of Education and Science of Georgia), Gia Ghvaladze (Foreign affairs Director of the company BP), and Archil Prangishvili (Rector of Georgian Technical university). The agreement is aimed at promoting development and implementation of international standards vocational programs in Georgian educational area.
New project includes implementing new educational center on the base of Technical University, which will provide vocational students with international standards vocational education programs.
Students participating in the program will gain practical knowledge and skills, and after successful completion of the program, they will be given relevant professional qualifications including: Electrical Technician, technical equipment / device technician, mechanic, process operator and welder.
The program will be implemented in several stages and agreement participant sides will undertake various arrangements at each stage, that includes – rehabilitation of center building, equipping it with all the needed technical and learning resources, providing the center with software, and promoting cooperation with local and international donor organizations.
