Katchreti community college ‘Aisi’ has celebrated its 35th anniversary, which was attended by the first deputy of the Minister of Education and Science Ketevan Natriashvili, as well as respectable representatives of the art and other invited guests. Within the framework of the event there was an exhibition by the famous artists, painters and photographers and the students exhibited thick felt works too. The visitors took part in grape picking ceremony as well.
In order to celebrate the anniversary as well as on the intention to popularize art fields in education, Ilia Tchavtchavadze named palace was opened in the building of the college.
The art palace will serve not only the ‘Aisi’ art school education but there will be corners for artists as well. Many other events, contests and meetings are planned to be held that will support popularizing professional education.
Multidisciplinary community college ‘Aisi’ provides 600 students with the up to 20 disciplines of craft. Among them are art fields such are enameling, felt crafting, decorative fabric specialization. The administration of the college plans to implement new art programs.
