The Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini met with the graduate club members (ALUMNI) of public school № 199 (former physics-mathematical school of Komarov) and listened to the new initiatives of the members of the club and the school representatives about the future development of the school.

Considering the opinions of the participants of the meeting, the Minister announced about the new initiatives – By his decision, 270 000 GEL will be allocated for the school dormitory renovation. Nowadays, the school is functioning as the boarding-school, but because of the bad conditions, only 80 schoolchildren live there. From the next academic year, around 200 students from the different regions will have an opportunity to live in the physics-mathematical boarding-school and study there without tuition fees.

The Minister also considered the wish of the graduates and the school members and decided to return the school its previous name and status. Henceforth, the physics-mathematical boarding-school will be named a Komarovi. Dimitri Shashkini spoke about the technical equipment of the school as well as the forms of teacher’s encouragement. The Minister presented the school with ten computers. The issues of school entering and textbooks were also discussed at the meeting.
