The conference on the subject  ”Monitoring of Inclusive Education in Georgia”  was held in Tbilisi, organized by Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia the Association "Dea”.

The conference was organized within the framework of the project “Inclusion integrity through lifelong education” aiming at developing Inclusive Education Monitoring Instrument in Georgia.

While working on the inclusive education monitoring indicators in the Georgian educational institutions project invited and local experts relied on the indicators developed for the united European educational system, field study in two Georgian regions and in Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Also, they relied on Georgian Legislation and relevant regulations. 

At the conference, the society was introduced to development process of Georgian Monitoring Instrument, vision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia on the Inclusive education, achievements and challenges of the pilot education institutions revealed during the field study, European experience of monitoring inclusive education.

The conference was attended by the The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri and other representatives of the Ministry, also the representatives of the supreme legislative and executive Authorities of Georgia, Office of Public Defender, Tbilisi and Zugdidi City Hall’s and Municipal Assemblies, onternational organizations, NGOs working on protection of rights of people with disabilities as well in the field of human rights, preschool, public, vocational and higher educatioanal iInstitutions of all levels, media and other interestrf.
