The Minister of Education and Science Ms. Tamar Sanikidze visited the Ivane Javakhishvilli Tbilisi State University. Minister saw the renewed laboratories and teaching and lecture- rooms under the program of San Diego State University.

Under the project there was rehabilitated and equipped the lecture-rooms in accordance with the international standards. Halls were equipped with modern technologies and laboratories. Chemistry laboratory was created with the ventilation systems. Laboratories were equipped with necessary appliances and furniture.  4,700 square metres are planned to rehabilitate and equipped with modern technologies.

Under the project, they plan the rehabilitation of halls and laboratories in three partner universities. 6,401square metre halls will be renewed and equipped with modern technologies in the buildings of  Technical University and Tbilisi State University.

San Diego State University and Millennium Challenge Fund  - within the scale of  higher education, are installing the high quality bachelor programs in engineering and technological (STEM) spheres. The graduators will get the American diploma. These programs will promote the development the spheres of natural science and technology and preparing the qualified working force. The project is launched with the financial aid of second compact of USA Millennium Challenge Corporation.
