Today, The Minister of Science and Education Tamar Sanikidze and generall director of Shota Rustaveli Natinal Science Foundation, awarded the winners of  innovative project  ‘Leonardo da Vinci’. The exhibition of works were made in the Tbilisi concert hall. The authors of innovative works presented their own inventions.

By the decision of commission, prize was gives to the Giorgi Margian, Beqa Mikadze, and Vakhtang Kontridze. Winners will be set of foreign countries in the cognitive tour. First place winners and owners of 5 000 gel  became Ekaterine Dadiani, Tsotne Dadiani and Niko Giorgadze, for the project ‘ Butterfly effect’. Second Place and 3000 Gel – Alexander Khokhiashvili, Dimitri Korkotashvili and Giorgi Lomdzaria. Third place and 2 000 Gel – Giorgi Shelegia and Amiran Aftsiauri, with the project electrical generator named ‘Follow me’.

The winners of projects, with the funding of Ministry of Science and Education and Intell fund, will visit the United States in spring, where they will participate  in the international engineering exhibition – Intel ISEF.

 Ms. Sopo Mudghiri, deputy chairmen of Georgian innovations and technology  agency, revealed favourits of projects and gifted them personal computers. All participants were awarded and received presents By Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and innovative education centre. The junior participants were received presents from the Bakur Sulakauri publishing house and Mtatsminda Park.

The competition among young inventors are held from 2011 with the organisation of Ministry of Georgia and Shota Rustaveli National ScienceFoundation, and it aims to increase the level of education among pupils, and grow their interest towards the innovation works and technical progress. This project  also aims to reveal the children who have inventing skills, give incentives to the development of practical skills.
