From then ext academic year in Khidistavi, a well-equipped public school will be opened and more than 400 students will continue their studies in a completely renovated environment. Rehabilitation works were inspected by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia - Tamar Sanikidze and the executive director of Millennium Challenge Fund - Magda Maghradze.
Khidistavi School of Gori Municipality is being renovated by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation's second compact, in cooperation with the the Ministry of Education and the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency.
In order to improve the learning environment, Millennium Challenge Account started to rehabilitate schools in Georgian regions since 2015. The complete renovation of 30 public schools have been completed, which covers approximately 10,000 students, who have the opportunity to receive quality education from a modern learning environment. A budget of 54 million US dollars is allocated for this purpose, and as a result more than 37,000 beneficiaries will receive an improved learning environment and have access to education.
