The Ministry of Education and Science and the National Center of Manuscripts, by support of other interested organizations holds a competition of Georgian Calligraphy. The goal of the competition is to develop hand writing culture and reveal the creativeness of youngsters. The competition is being carried out for two age groups (V-VIII and IX-XII grades). Emigrant students as well as schoolchildren of Georgia take participation in it. The competition includes three levels. Cognitive speaking about Georgian calligraphy will be held among the participants between the levels. The winners will be awarded with different prizes, established by co-organizers.
The competent jury identified 118 schoolchildren, who passed the second round on March, 15. The National Center of Manuscripts will inform the participants about the final round in details.
