Owing to the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Center of Manuscripts of Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in partnership with Tbilisi Spiritual Seminary and Academy, a conference –“ Catholicos-Patriach Kalistrate – 150” was held regarding the 150th anniversary of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia – Kalistrate Tsintsadze.
The conference was attended by the current Catholicos-Patriach of all Georgia – his holiness Ilia II, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, the Chairman of Tbilisi City Assmebly, as well as by famous scientists, and numerous honorable guests. The guests had the pleasure of listening to the various reports/lectures, in conjunction with the unknown details about the life of Catholicos-Patriarch Kalistrate.
During the conference, an exhibition was unveiled, where some of the Catholicos-Patriarch Kalistrate Tsintadze’s archival material (private correspondence, photos, memoirs, and research material) was presented, which is currently protected by the Georgian National Center of Manuscripts.
The Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Center of Manuscripts is the largest manuscript repository of Georgian heritage nowadays. It serves to the promotion of manuscript heritage, through the creation of scientific production, contributing to the development and growth of Georgian intellectual potential.
