“EUROSTUDENT” is a large scale international study, which is carried out by the international consortium. The study aims to examine the socio economic conditions of students studying at the higher educational institutions and to identify what challenges they face. (http://www.eurostudent.eu/index_html).
Since the 90s the "EUROSTUDENT” is conducted regularly in more than twenty countries in Europe. In 2014, Georgia participated as a pilot country in the fifth wave of the ‘EUROSTUDENT’ project. The sixth wave of the above-mentioned project started in 2016 by the consortium, and will be finalized by the year of 2018. The study will take part in more than 30 countries and this time Georgia will be fully engaged.
“EUROSTUDENT VI” - a national survey is conducted with the coordination of Research and Assessment Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and is supported by the Department of Higher Education and Science Development. The research itself carried out by the private company - "IPM RESEARCH"
Ultimately, the research will allow the Ministry of Education and Science to plan the adequate socio-economical policies and programs in order to support the students.
