United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia signed a standard agreement, which aims at receiving a grant at the  National Education Development Center, in order to develop the qualifications in the field of agriculture.

The program is ready to allocate funding to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement in order to implement the six-pointed program, which is a part of the work-based learning pilot promotion.

Education and the reformation of the vocational education is one of the most important aspects of the government’s four-point plan, which implies a new model for the public and private sector partnership on the princi-ples of the work-based learning education.

Furthermore, the project also includes other rather important components, such as: integrating a section of general education into the vocational education, creating short-term training courses and vocational programs for the students of the high school, designing new vocational and professional standards, and creating new standards and educational resources for the implementation of the new agricultural practices.  

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has allocated an equivalent of 353,680 US dollars. The project will be implemented within two years.
