Awarding Ceremony of The Winners of the Project was Carried Out
The winners of the project Future is Yours were awarded with computers, prizes and certificates at Tbilisi public school №161. The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Akaki Seperteladze, the President of non-governmental organization “Tsami” and the representatives of Tbilisi City Assembly presented the winners with these prizes. The final concert of “Zumbaland” and folk group “Chveneburebi” was held at the school after the rewarding ceremony. The musical project ‘’AstroGeorgia” was presented by the participants of the concert.
The project Future is Yours will be held at Tbilisi and regional schools through the whole academic year. In the framework of this project, the schoolchildren will listen to the lectures and seminars in following important issues: democracy and civic society, tolerance, gender balance, respect of labor, protection of environment and ecological safety. After the seminars, participants will have one week to research and analyze their field of interest. Participation in this competition is optional: (photos, written materials, arts, etc.). After implementing the tasks, the competition in different nominations will be held at schools and the winners will be awarded with different gifts. Modern and folk musical groups will participate in the final concerts. A special board will be created for school archives.
At the end of the academic year, summer social camps will be arranged for the winners with trainings and seminars. Different cultural and sport activities, hikes and competitions are planned in these summer camps. A special journal will be created with the best works of and the photos reflecting the project.
