The Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava is actively continuing his daily informational and introductory meetings with the representatives of the educational sector. This time, the minister met with the heads of the research institutes at Tbilisi State University.
The purpose of the meeting was to listen to the problems of the invited audience, and discuss the possible solutions to the challenges. In addition, there was a huge interest and dedication towards developing new scientific ideas in order to boost research activities in the country.
Throughout the meeting, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mr. Aleksandre Jejelava, conveyed his current vision of the scientific situation in the country. In Mr. Jejelava’s opinion, there are some fields in Georgian science, which needs to be saved, and the institution who are invested in acquiring high-quality results, needs to be strengthened and supported thoroughly.
The representatives or each and every research institute, had the opportunity to talk and point out the problems which they are have been struggling for years now, and which require a special attention by the Ministry of Education and Science. Some problems were outlined, to which the Minister has promised his support, but on the other hand, there are some long-term challenges which require special care and will be discussed in the meetings to come. The above-mentioned scientific meetings will be held on the regular basis, which will not only address the current issues and challenges, but also outline the development and action plans for the new scientific activities, to which the Minister has promised his assistance.
