The Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Lia Gigauri within the scope of her business visit to Great Britain, met with the Georgian students who are currently participanting in non-formal English language programs in England’s various schools, universities and colleges.
Lia Gigauri received information regarding the program from the students, whether this kind of non-formal educational approaches are acceptable to them, which the schools are offering them. Moreover, the Deputy Minister met with the heads of each program and discussed the prospects of expanding this kind of non-formal educational programs to Georgia.
Furthermore, within the visit framework, there were some cooperative ways planned for the future. It is important to mention, that both sides assessed the period and recognized the need for improvement and development, in order to avoid being monotonous, and most importantly be in compliance with the modern challenges. During the Deputy Minister’s visit to the UK, some several important issues were outlined, which will contribute to the development of programs, and aid its transition to the higher level, as well as its geographic expansion and transferring the model in Georgia.
