Another positive step forward has been achieved in terms of involving the private sector in the education system. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science – Ketevan Natriashvili held a working meeting with the representatives of ATC (JSC Aero structure Technologies Cyclone).

ATC is one the largest companies and investors, who with the partnership of the Georgian Co-Investment Fund, has implemented the manufacturing plant for the parts of civil airplanes. The aim of the meeting was understanding a full information regarding the project, in conjunction with determining the future prospects of cooperation. Furthermore, in order for the ATC to function well on the Georgian market, qualified staff is required, because the aviation-related activities require special competence and skills.

During the meeting, the sides agreed to cooperate in terms of training and staff recruitment. Georgian vocational institutions, as well as the higher education institutions will be involved in the process. Moreover, selected candidates will undergo their first stage of training in Israel. The Ministry of Education and Science plans to deepen its partnership with the company and intends to build a foundation for the establishment of a joint training center in future.
