A Georgian -Turkish educational exchange week was held in the Turkish city of Ordu, at the School of Social Sciences. The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science together with the teachers and students of the private Batumi school - “Gorda” and the participated in the above-mentioned event.

The school of Social Sciences of Ordu, and the private school - “Gorda” (Nino Murvanidze being the head principle) have been actively conducting joint cultural-educational projects, which unites the students and the educational systems of these two countries.

Within the scope of the meeting, the representatives of the Georgian side were shown the working specifics of the School, in conjunction with displaying their achievements and future plans. A joint cultural, cognitive and sports events were also held during the visit. Additionally, another meeting was held in a private college in Ordu, were three teaching stages were unveiled to the Georgian guests: (Kindergarten, general education school, and a vocational college).

The Georgian delegation had an official reception by the governor of the city of Ordu, who thanked the private school - “Gorda” and expressed his gratitude towards the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and expressed his willingness to proceed the cooperation in future.

The department of Geography and Disaster risk reduction expert – Rusudan Tevzadze, and the English language teacher – Madona Phutkaradze, gave an integrated lesson on the natural disaster risk aversion, in which the Turkish students actively participated. A significant contribution towards forming the integrated lesson goes to the international partner organizations, in particular the “ASB” and “Save The Children”, who provided gifts to the Turkish students.
