A Rectors’ Council session was held at Shota Meskhia State University, which was traditionally led by the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava. Various heads of the state and private higher education institutions participated in the Council of Rectors.

The session lasted for four hours, where a number of important issues were discussed in regards to the development of the higher education. Additionally, specific solutions have been outlined.

Prior to the workshop, the Minister together with the Rectors’ Council, got acquainted with the regional university infrastructure, material and technical base, as well as their innovativeteaching methods.

Owing to the initiative of Aleksandre Jejelava, the council will meet on the monthly basis at a specific educational institution, which gives the council an opportunity to get acquainted with other university premises, atmosphere and teaching methods which they employ.
