The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava held a meeting with the delegation of United States. The first deputy Minister of Education and Science – Ketevan Natriashvili, and the head of the International Education Center – Nino Chelidze attended the meeting from the Georgian side. Additionally, the head of the State Department for the Public Diplomatic Bureau of Europe and Asia – Benjamin Ziff, the administrator of US Development Agency – Thomas Melia, the director of USAID Caucasus Office – Douglas Boll, and the director of Millennium Challenge Corporation in Georgia – Jenner Edelman participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides managed to reach a fruitful joint collaboration. A special emphasis was put on the activities of the Millennium Challenge Corporation in Georgia, as well as the academic exchange programs initiated by the USAID in Georgia.
The Georgian and the American sides, express their willingness to enhance the relationship in future.
