The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava held a meeting of the newly elected principals of public and private schools. The Standing board was elected for the first time, by the principals of the public and private schools, by taking into account the educational system of interest.
Georgian educational system is in active reform phase, the changes are being made in the field of general education. Accordingly, it is important to have a constant contact and communication with the school representatives, to hear their opinions in order to achieve the set goals. For this purpose, the School Standing Board of Directors was created. The board members were selected with the following principals:
• Regionalism: Capital city, large cities, administrative regions;
• Legal Status: private and public;
• Specialization: Inclusive education and profile schools;
• National minorioties;
• Schools with small contingent;
The Council’s format is to share the information, engage in the process, offer solutions, participate in the reform process, evaluate the current processes, etc...
