Tbilisi Public School №51 joined the initiative of the Government to introduce healthy lifestyle in schools and started the school competitions in 12 kinds of sport. The tournaments will be held during one month and almost all pupils of school will be involved in it. The Olympiad was solemnly opened today. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Tariel Khechikashvili, the representatives of the sports federations and the Olympic champions attended the opening ceremony and several sports events.

Sport is the best way to form the teamwork, as well as to strength the character and healthy life habits. That’s why our government takes the responsibility to make sports life more popular among the adolescents and to facilitate involvement of more young people in sports. Variety of sports circles will be launched in schools and competitions will be conducted regularly. The sports federations will cooperate with the schools. The school management will take care of organization of the student meetings with the champions of different kinds of sports, and sports teachers will be retrained.
