In 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games were held in Austria where young people with special educational needs and limited abilities participated and where representatives of specialized schools of Georgia also participated for the first time and took different prize-winning places. It is noteworthy that representatives of Tbilisi Special School N 200 Ani Nodia took the sixth place in figure skating and representative of the same School Mariam Okropiridze won bronze medal. Ani and Mariam started ice skating a year ago and with the help of specialists and as a result of intensive work they managed to achieve success. Ani managed to make herself known on World Down Syndrome Day and prove that she like other people of her age could also be a champion.
