Vocational education teachers will visit the vocational education institutions in Slovakia within the scope of the study tour in the direction of tourism and construction. During the study tour, the teachers will have an opportunity to observe the learning process, working and learning environment, to hold the meetings with their Slovak colleagues and to collaborate with them.
The Ministry of Education and Science carries out the important reforms in the direction of vocational education, which along with a lot of innovations, envisages introduction of vocational modular and dual education in the system. Within the framework of implementation of the reform, it is important to take the experience of those countries into consideration, which have implemented a successful vocational education reform in their country, similar to Georgia. Slovakia is also among those countries, which were supported by Austria in the vocational education reform and has been fully harmonized with the European education space.
Prior to the study tour, the teachers were provided with informational training on vocational development of teachers as well as the prospects of Georgia’s integration into the EU. State Minister Viktor Dolidze and First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ketevan Natriashvili met with the vocational teachers and wished them success in the study tour.
After returning from the study tour, the vocational teachers will hold informational meetings with their colleagues in order to share their experience acquired in Slovakia.
