A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed among the Georgian National University - SEU, “Block Invest” and “Vatel Group” regarding opening of the International University – “Vatel Georgia”, the official presentation was attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava and other officials.

In the field of hotels and tourism management, “Vatel” is the number one business school, providing education based on the European management method and French culture. It has 35 universities worldwide, with 7,000 students and 30,000 graduates.

The International University of Hotel and Tourism Management - “Vatel Georgia” will issue a French (international) diploma in Georgia. The learning process will be held at the Georgian National University (SEU) campus and the students will learn hotels and tourism management in English. “Vatel Georgia’s” curriculum includes both bachelor’s and master’s degree. The applicants will be able to complete the vocational development courses as well.

Opening of the new university of international importance is fully compatible with the initiative of the Government of Georgia – “Learn in Georgia”, aim of which is to support Georgia to become the the educational center in the region.
