Through invitation of the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership (ECEAP) and the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia, within the framework of the project “Experience of Estonian Reform and Solicitation of Estonian Experts in Eastern Partnership Countries”, the representatives of the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia visited Estonia, where the best experience of formation and development of functions of the internal audit were carried out and methodology, approaches and work documents introduced in practice were provided.
The representatives of Georgia also took part in the two-day conference “Round Table 2017 of Scandinavian and Baltic Internal Auditors”, within the framework of which the latest trends, approaches and best experience of internal audit in the developed countries (Norway, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia) were introduced.
It is important to note that the Estonian side expressed its willingness to support the measures required for strengthening of further bilateral cooperation, enhancement of internal audit of the Ministry of Education and Science and its approximation with international standards.
