Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University celebrated 95th anniversary of famous Georgian historian Mariam Lortkipanidze today with scientific conference – “Mariam Lortkipanidze - 95”. Prior to the opening of the conference, Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava, Chairman of the Education, Science and Culture Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Mariam Jashi, TSU Rector Giorgi Sharvashidze welcomed the merit scientist and congratulated her on her birthday.

In the framework of the anniversary event, presentation of 12th volume of the works of the Institute of History of Georgia of Professor Tedo Dundua was held, as well as the documentary movie “What the history has created?” of Nino Kakulia, editor of the newspaper “Tbilisi University”, was screened. The movie is dedicated to the works of academician Mariam Lortkipanidze.
