The Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava hosted the delegation of the two Ministries under the guidance of Mohamed Farhad, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Together with the Minister of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, there were representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran among members of delegation.
At the bilateral meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of strengthening relations in the field of education and science. For this purpose, signing of the relevant agreement is planned in the nearest future.
In addition, the parties discussed the issues of exchange of students and the mutual recognition of diplomas and agreed to create a working group in order to strengthen the relationship.
Within the framework of the visit, the guests visited George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Tbilisi State Medical University to get acquainted with the educational and scientific potential of Georgia.
