The Guards entered Tbilisi 7 pilot schools on April 15 and began to implement their duties. They entered the following schools: the first experimental school and the public schools №11, №23, №24, №51, №52, №117.
The Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and the Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Khatuna Dekanoidze personally introduced the Guards and explained the new initiative to the teachers, the schoolchildren and the parents of the public school #117. The Guards spoke about their future activities and answered the questions of the auditorium as well.
The Deputy Ministers and the leading officials of the Ministry introduced the Guards to other six schools.
The group of the Guards is formed with 2 men and one woman. They passed the trainings in the framework of the Safe School. The Guards fully developed the skills to prevent the conflicts, crime and provide the schoolchildren with any kind of help. They have no right of punishment and are obliged to care for the security of the children.
The Guards are located in the rooms, equipped with the informational technologies. They received the uniforms and the modern communicational techniques.
The goal of the new initiative, being implemented in the scope of the Safe School is to ensure the safety of the schoolchildren during the educational process.
