A Memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Center for Children and Youth of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Emergency Management Agency under the subordination of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Georgian language academic department is now successfully functioning at the Paris Oriental Languages ​​and Civilizations University (INALCO). With the purpose of preserving and strengthening the relationship, Director of the INALCO Cabinet - Sharif Alam Shafi, visited the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli.

Owing to the initiative of the Youth Policy Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a two-day workshop was held with the involvement of the representatives of local municipalities responsible for Youth Affairs. 

Education Policy Forum was dedicated to discussing  the existing challenges and opportunities in the process of reforming the higher education in Georgia. The deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Alexander Tevzadze participates in the aforementioned forum.

The 60th meeting of the Council of Europe Youth Monitoring Committee is held in Budapest, where the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Teimuraz Murgulia is participating. In his speech to the committee, the Deputy Minister stressed that our country is ready to strengthen and deepen the international cooperation.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili participated in "Women's Role in Economic Growth and Reforms" conference and addressed approximately 300 women attending the forum.

Alexander Tevzadze – the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, attended a two-day international scientific conference dedicated to a hundred years of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Ukraine.

A mountain-skiing sports camp has been launched in Bakuriani, under healthy lifestyle project framework.

The camp aims at promoting mountain skiing to Georgian students and its beneficiaries signify 11-14-year-old students across Georgia. The camp is implemented under the informal education methodology and includes sports, educational, cognitive and cultural activities.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the Vice President of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) - Prof. Joibrato Mückergi, as well as the Head of Foreign Affairs Department of Gisen University –Julia Foltz and the Head of DAAD Tbilisi Information Center - Gebhard Raul.

Within the scope of the European Union Technical Assistance Project, a strategic planning manual for the vocational college managers was designed. The manual was created under the Action Plan framework, within the scope of the vocational Education Reform Strategy 2017, according to which a series of training for the administrative personnel is planned in the pilot educational institutions.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli – The minister of Education and Science of Georgia, held a meeting with the minister of Education of Finland – Ms. Sanni Grahn-Laasonen. The meeting primarily focused on novelties, innovations and existing challenges in the educational systems of the aforementioned countries. Moreover, Mikheil Chkhenkeli spoke extensively regarding the amendments in the Georgian school educational system and offered his Finnish colleague an active involvement in the process.
