Mikheil Chkhenkeli – the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, held a meeting with the winners of the 2017 Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation competition.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited the newly built public school in village Tvaladi, situated in Kaspi municipality. The entire construction process was carried out by the Education and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency. As a result, 120 Tvaladi students are now equipped with the latest technology, high-standard gym, an outdoor playground, infirmary, and a library. The new building complies with the latest standards of a modern European school.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli continues to conduct the cycle of meetings - "Listen to the students". This time, the Minister met with senior students of Kaspi public schools.
A concluding review regarding the new vocational education legislation was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
On the base of Telavi State University, the very first higher vocational college of agriculture and tourism management will be launched. The minister of Education and Science of Georgia, The minister of Agriculture, the governor of Kakheti region and members of the Georgian parliament, visited Telavi State University in order to discuss the possibility of introducing renewed vocational programs, in conjunction with arranging relevant modern infrastructure. The guests visited all the renovated sites, including, academic study rooms, laboratories and practical workshops.
The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili and the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia - Janos Herman, opened a concluding event regarding the results of the grant projects, implemented in the fields of employment and vocational education development.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili together with Elguja Meladze, - the President of the Association of Employers opened an international conference - "Experience in Vocational Education".
In accordance with the national curriculum alteration, changes were made to the hourly grid at the basic level of the Georgian and non-Georgian schools. Namely, a new subject was added, an independent block of elective subjects, teaching of civil education and mathematics has been enhanced, in conjunction with changing the overall format for the teaching of natural sciences.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mikheil Chkhenkeli, met with the participants of "Javakheti Student Expedition" at Tbilisi State University. During the meeting, the students talked about their expedition experience and the importance of such projects, and they emphasized the special role Mikheil Chkhenkeli had in organizing the event.
In order to develop student labor skills, the vocational college - "Icarus", held a competition in various fields, including, cooking, baking and service needs. There were 32 students from 11 schools participating in the competition.
The Inclusive Education Development Division of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in collaboration with the "Georgian Association of Social Workers” (GASW), supported by the Czech Non-governmental Organization -PIN, has implemented a project - "Supporting Psycho-Social Support System at Schools" and held a report presentation.
