In the scope of the program
“Summer Jobs”, Ministry of Agriculture will employ 300 students. Today,
Minister of Agriculture Zaza Kartozia, First Deputy Minister of Education and
Science of Georgia Akaki Sepherteladze together with students visited
green-house in village Tserovani.

From May 7, 2500 socially vulnerable students have started studying at
vocational colleges throughout Georgia. They were granted with 1000 GEL worth
vouchers, which gave them the opportunity to choose the vocational college upon
their interest and master new profession.

mark “Europe Day” contests were organized for the schoolchildren. Today, an
awarding ceremony of winners was held in the Youth Palace. The finalists were
awarded by the Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and
chairperson of Tbilisi City Assembly, Zaal Samadashvili.

The guests saw a performance. After the event, the resource officers provided the

The voucher funding system has been introduced in vocational
education this year, by the initiative of the President. From 2012, all citizens of Georgia who
want to master new profession at vocational college will be provided with
voucher of 1000 GEL.

President of Georgia met the successful students at Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi. Mr.
Mikheil Saakashvili spoke to them about the current and planned programs and projects;
he focused on student ID cards, summer jobs, and student health insurance
system.

vocational college “Mermisi” in Sanzona.
The construction of the institution started last
December and will be finished by September 2012.

Microsoft "Imagine Cup" were reveled today. Today, the Minister, Dimitri Shashkini,
Mission Director for the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) programs
in Georgia, Stephen Haykin and Microsoft Georgia General Manager, David
Asatiani awarded the winning team.
