Factoring in the interest of candidates for the 2020 exams while assessing the current situation, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia together with the National Center for Assessment and Examinations, decided to extend the deadline for registration for the Unified National and Graduate exams, and Student Grant Competition to April 30, by 18:00.

In order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, during the period of national emergency, as dictated by the Prime Minister-led Interagency Coordination Council, and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the personnel of National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation will actively participate in Citizen’s Housing Assistance Program.

Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Georgian First Channel are launching an educational project – Teleskola, that envisages live transmission of lessons for school students through the Second Channel and various online platforms of Public Broadcaster starting March 30. The project envisages the execution of TV lessons provided by the national curriculum for school students.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, in cooperation with Georgian Public Broadcaster’s First Channel, and with an active involvement of the Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture of the Parliament of Georgia, are launching an educational project titled - Teleskola. Starting March 30, Georgian Public Broadcaster’s Second Channel will be live transmitting lessons for school students. The project envisages the execution of tele-lessons provided by the national curriculum.

With regards to the prevention of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and due to the declared state of emergency in the country; the Presidential decree dictates, the teaching process to be continued uninterrupted, and the government be given the right to define necessary changes in terms and conditions for the previously established rules and regulations over the “Early and Preschool Education”, “General Education”, “Vocational Education”, “Special Vocational Education”,  and “Higher Education”.
