The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli presented an anti-crisis plan, aimed at discussing all levels of education, to better confront the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia continues to work on several important projects to improve the quality of distance learning. Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli spoke about the ongoing projects in this direction during the presentation of the anti-crisis plan.

In accordance with the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli presented an anti-crisis plan regarding all areas of education. 

Microsoft Corporation and the International Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) praised the measures taken by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia to promote distance learning amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a video conference with the Vice President of Microsoft on Education, Anthony Salcito, where the parties discussed plans for future cooperation.

For the very first time, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli took part in Summit on the Transformation of Virtual Education, organized by Microsoft Corporation. The minister addressed the public and introduced them to the challenges facing the Georgian education system and various mechanisms to solve the obstacles amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
