Within a framework of the memorandum signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Estonian Government, UNICEF and the Foundation "Innove", a business meeting was held where the lessons learned in Estonian schools and evaluation results of needs of the schools were discussed. Directors of pilot schools presented presentations and introduced future plans to their colleagues.
The Foundation "Innove" of Estonian Ministry of Education and Research consults the National Curriculum Department of the Ministry of Education within the framework of revision of the National Curriculum for the years 2018-2024.
The Department is implementing the Georgian-Estonian project "Strengthening Access to Quality Education for Georgian Children". 15 pilot schools are involved in the project and it aims to pilot the new National Curriculum at the elementary level.
In May of the current year, Georgian directors visited Estonia during the three days of educational tours in order to get acquainted with local education system, learning process and to get experience.
The event was attended by the representatives of the National Curriculum Department of the Ministry, UNICEF and school directors.
