The training cycle on the issue of improvement of school
management, implemented by the National Center for Teacher Professional
Development within the frameworks of teachers’ and school directors’ professional
development project of “Millennium Challenge Account – Georgia”, continues for
directors and facilitators.
This time 170 directors and selected facilitators from
Kharagauli, Khoni and Tchiatura schools take part in the training. Deputies
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Lia Gigiuri and Keti
Natriashvili got acquainted with the works of the participants and deliver them
the information on importance of vocational education, plans of the Ministry
and the changes scheduled in schools.
The training program of the Leadership Academy aims to
support directors of the public schools to manage school effectively and to create
pupil-oriented learning environment, as well as to develop skills of leadership
and cooperation in teachers.
Leadership Academy consists of three levels and is a
combination of training-modules that was initiated on August 15, 2016 and will
continue gradually by the end of 2018. The directors of all public schools are involved
in the program. Trainings are held in Telavi, as well as in Bazaleti and
Tskaltubo.
