The winners of the Joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Ministry of Internal Affairs - “Learn History - Become a Researcher” were awarded. The goal of the project was to take interest of young people except professional researchers with the materials of the latest history of Georgia that are protected in the MIA archive and already available to the public. Also, the development of special skills of pupils and student research skills, critical thinking and development of specific skills of working at source.
Five groups participated in the project. Teachers and pupils of public school have selected issues from the thematic block - “The Latest History”. Each of them worked individually on the selected subject with the support of the staff of the MIA archive.
At the meeting, the participants of the project presented a presentation of their works, after which the jury revealed the best of them. The winner became the N126 public school team. All participants of the project were given a symbolic gift and the winner's work will be printed in the Archive Magazine of MIA “The Archival Bulletin”.
The event was also attended by Rector of the Academy of the MIA Givi Mikanadze, Director of the MIA Archive Omar Tushurashvili, teachers and pupils of Tbilisi public schools.
